On our property BoerdeHeij in Elim (Drenthe) we have turned an old barn into a super cute, complete and cozy camping cottage. It lies in a beautiful rural spot between meadow and forest, away from traffic, but close to nature and (hobby) farm life. All facilities such as cooking, compost toilet and hot shower are in the cottage. The double bed is wonderfully spacious with comfortable mattresses. The camping cottage is created in a unique way, as sustainable as possible. The rooms are panelled with pallets and old floorboards, brocante panel doors and parts of cupboards. Our creative improvisational skills were quite tested at times. Go "back to basic & off grid", unwind and make a campfire or fire up the garden fireplace in the cottage when it's a bit colder! Welcome to our cozy camping cottage if you are not looking for luxury but simplicity, sustainability, rural living and hospitality. Also open during the winter season!
