Chalet - De Eekhoorn

This tiny house is located on a cozy family campsite in the Dutch province of Drenthe. The accommodation can be booked for a weekend getaway or a (short) vacation with 4 people. The house is carefully furnished so that you feel right at home.

The Vacation House
Upon entering the vacation house, you are greeted by the cozy atmosphere that fills the space. With 2 bedrooms, it accommodates 4 people, ensuring a good night's sleep. The rooms exude warmth, perfect for unwinding after a day full of adventures. Each room can accommodate 2 people, making the house suitable for various travel groups. The vacation house also features a kitchen with a gas stove and refrigerator. The bathroom has a shower, sink, and toilet. In good weather, you can enjoy the beautiful nature of Drenthe on your own veranda. Bed linen and towels are not provided and must be brought by yourself.

Your faithful four-legged friend is welcome (maximum 4 dogs). Additional costs for a pet are ¤2.50 per animal per night and can be indicated directly when booking.

The Campsite
You will undoubtedly feel at home immediately at the campsite. For children, there is a swimming pool at the campsite in Drenthe, which is always a big hit (open from April and in the summer). The campsite also has wifi access everywhere. There is a restaurant with a terrace and a takeaway booth along the forest path for coffee, tea, ice cream, and small snacks.

Surroundings
From the campsite, you can easily make trips to a large number of attractions and sights throughout the province of Overijssel and Drenthe. The surrounding area is perfect for walking and cycling, but there are also various villages and towns nearby that are worth a visit. Places such as Giethoorn, Hoogeveen, Meppel, and Staphorst are within short distance, but cities such as Almelo, Assen, and Zwolle are also easily accessible from our campsite. Less than 1.5 km from the house is a beautiful large swimming lake with a beach. There is a lot to do here, including SUP and canoe rental, and you can take diving lessons. Just outside the village, there is a nice sauna complex with a swimming pool, many infusions, a restaurant, and a dripstone cave sauna.
