Away from the crowds to unwind in Gaasterland, Friesland? The Bakhuisje or "simmerwenning" as they call it in Friesland, is connected to our monumental head-hull farmhouse but completely free to reach.
At the rear you look out over the fields and you have a lovely terrace.
The cottage was almost completely renovated and insulated on the inside in 2024.
You enter in a living-dining room with new kitchen equipped with dishwasher, large fridge with freezer and induction hob.
Downstairs there is a bedroom with a comfortable twin bed and closet space. There is also a bathroom with toilet, bathtub, separate shower and sink.
Upstairs there is a small but oh so cozy bedroom with two separate single beds. Upstairs there is also a combined washer and dryer.
However, the stairs are steep so less suitable for people with mobility problems.
