Huis ter Duin is a detached house which lies on top of a dune amid other summer houses on a lot of nearly half an acre. It has a commanding view. The access is from the road to West aan Zee. The bus stop is practically at the foot of the dune. The vast Terschelling beach of the North Sea is just two hundred meters away. The beaches are renowned for their size: from 200 to 500 meters wide! The relatively warm summers of the last decade make bathing in the North Sea (warmer than ever) most agreeable in summer and early autumn. In and around the house you have virtually total privacy. The two terraces with wind screens will always give you shelter so that you can enjoy the sunshine (the Frisian isles have more sunshine than any other part in the Netherlands). Huis ter Duin is fitted with all modern conveniences and is especially suited for children. Two families or a group of friends will find sufficient room and special spots to play party games, to read or to watch television. The many rooms and levels ensure a place for everyone to organize joint activities or just to do things on your own.
