Aardenburg is an excellent base for making day trips in Zeeland and Belgian Flanders. The western Zeeland-Flemish coast (Cadzand) is about 15 kilometers from Aardenburg and the fashionable seaside resort of Knokke-Heist about 18 kilometers. Bruges (20 kilometers) and Ghent (40 kilometers), as well as Adinkerke, located on the Belgian-French border with the famous Plopsaland attraction, are an hour's drive from Aardenburg. Golf courses can be found in Oostburg (nine kilometers) and Knokke, and for foodies there are plenty of options in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen and Flanders.
