This cottage was once a simple worker's house whose foundations trace their origins back to the 1800s. The authentic features such as 2 fireplaces, (1 of which is in current modern use), the typical division between front and back room, and the traditional, high beamed ceilings still remind us a bit of those times. All the more reason for us to bring these very features back into focus and, where possible, restore them to their former glory.... After a few major renovations we can offer you this lovely and practical cottage for a weekend, midweek or longer vacation. From the cottage you are 15 minutes by car from the most beautiful and cleanest beaches in the Netherlands, the most idyllic and historic towns of Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, and you will experience the strong Flemish burgundian influence when you visit one of the historical gems such as Aardenburg, Sluis, IJzendijke, Schoondijke, Breskens aan zee and Groede. A small selection of more than worthy villages that west Zeeuws-Vlaanderen is rich. You can also visit some Burgundian cities in Flanders (Belgium) such as Bruges, Ghent and Antwerp, all within an hour's drive! For cycling and hiking enthusiasts, there are more than numerous routes to follow through the beautiful Zeeland Flemish landscape, the beautiful creeks, lakes and nature reserves such as "the Braakman" are 10 minutes by bike, and you can even spot seals at 7 minutes by car from here in the village of Hoofdplaat. There is so much to experience in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen that it is actually too much to mention.
't cottage offers more than enough room for 2 adults and a baby. It is furnished in a nice and practical way, and equipped with all contemporary luxuries and comforts. The cozy front room with its romantic gas fireplace will absolutely please you when you want to relax after a long day of vacation. Of course you will also find here a modern television, an audio set and internet capability with free wifi.

In the back room you will find the cozy dining table where one unfolds the game board in the evening! Board games are for many indispensable during vacations and are therefore present in abundance.
By taking the stairs up you will find the spacious and fresh bedroom which provides one double bed (160x200), a closet with both laying and hanging comfort and a sitting area.
The bathroom has a hanging toilet, luxury bathroom cabinet and a walk-in shower.
The kitchen is modern with a large fridge freezer, ceramic hob, extractor hood, oven and dishwasher. In the kitchen you will find all the necessary utensils and electrical appliances one would expect in a contemporary kitchen.
From the kitchen you can enter the cozy patio to catch the afternoon sun in summer from the available garden furniture, and to possibly light the barbecue. Finally you will arrive at the storage room where you can park your bicycles and use the washing machine. The house has recently been equipped with a modern air conditioning, so that even during the (too) hot periods you can sleep well and again rested to enjoy your vacation!"
